You can learn and practice training techniques used
by top athletes and peak performers.
- Visualization — An
essential tool for mental rehearsal is the ability
to see yourself in the future situation.
- Concentration — Many
different techniques, practiced regularly,
on your own, can improve your ability to stay
focussed on the task despite internal and external
distractions. Concentration meditation is recommended
for many clients.
- The Adrenaline Dial — Learn to regulate
your adrenaline (excitement or nervousness) levels to the demands of the task.
- Mental Rehearsal — There are many
aspects to mental rehearsal. It can be done
with self hypnosis and/or EMDR, which is
easier to self administer. In-office mental
rehearsal ranges from practicing solutions
for specific tough spots to full out rehearsal
of entire events.
- Auditory Cues — catchy phrases & reminders — created
out of what works best for each individual.
